I personally do not like the default settings (Basic with limiter) provided by FL Studio after installation. So I set everything I needed before making music.
First go to Menu bar in File/ New from template/ Empty.
If the future does not change this option will always be Empty. Now, instead of Kick, Clap, Hat, and Snare we have Sampler.
Click on Sampler right click, and choose Piano roll.
In the upper left corner you will see the down arrow in shaped triangle. Click on it to open the drop menu from which we choose: View note helpers and Ghost channels.
View note helpers serves to indicate the column where the black and white keys where. Most helpful when a lot away from the start where the keyboard image.
Ghost channels shows us that we note typed in another instrument on the same page and where they are. Are marked in gray.
To show you an example will copy Sampler, Right click on Sampler / Clone and write the notes in both Samplers.
On Time panel I do not want to start from 1:01:000 Bar.
Like when start from 0. Click the first 1 to be furnished in the Minutes ( 0 ) or click on B|M in the lower left corner.
And finally there only to set Options in the Menu bar. Go to Options/ MIDI setitings. If you want to create or import MIDI files, we must first set the sounds to hear. Now, if you want to work with Primary Sound Driver and have poor configuration like mine, and want to play the keyboard in real time without delay sound, Buffer length must be 1800 - 2500 samples. Below that can be heard crackling. If you have a lot of instruments that take a lot of memory move Buffer length on max 8192 samples. I might add here turn on Use 32Bit buffer; and turn off Use hardware buffer and you can hang Buffer length to 1200 and lower, will not be popping, but do not do it!
I like use ASIO4ALL. Works perfectly in all respects, except when I add more instruments and charge Mixer with effects + note.
Only if you want can add this. In GENERAL has the option Undo history on 20 undo levels. Increase much as you want, to 999 max.
